Our company has always aimed to maintain its leadership position and promote business growth, while simultaneously developing new products in a sustainable and responsible manner. Every organic cake or snack we produce is made using advanced production techniques that adhere to rigorous quality and food safety standards. Castelfood understands the responsibility for production, maintaining hygienic conditions, and addressing ethical and social aspects (child labour, working conditions, etc.).

For this reason, we are committed to reducing the risks associated with climate change by improving the energy efficiency of our facilities, optimising the production process to reduce waste, purchasing and using
ENERGY PRODUCED ENTIRELY FROM RENEWABLE SOURCES
and implementing practices that maintain the balance of the ecosystem.
We collaborate with partners and suppliers who share our ethical values and ensure that every organic product produced meets our high standards.
Our philosophy
Our concept of sustainability is based on three fundamental pillars: human, environmental, and local economic. Let’s look at them in detail:
- Human sustainability: for us, it means ensuring that our products are safe and of high quality. We create safe and healthy work environments for all our employees, ensuring decent working conditions and promoting the well-being of the communities involved in our supply chain. Every organic snack we produce is the result of a constant commitment to food safety and quality.
- Environmental sustainability: conserving natural resources and reducing environmental impact are fundamental goals for us. We adhere to rigorous environmental standards and promote sustainable practices such as energy saving and responsible waste management. Additionally, we purchase and use FSC-certified boxes, sourced from raw materials derived from forests managed in a correct and responsible manner according to strict environmental, social, and economic standards. Every package of snacks and cakes we produce reflects our commitment to protecting the planet for future generations.
- Local economic sustainability: we promote fair trade and create secure job opportunities while supporting local economies. Our chocolate-covered cakes are Rainforest Alliance certified because we use certified chocolate, promoting more sustainable agricultural production and more responsible supply chains. We believe that a responsible business should have a positive impact not only on consumers but also on local communities and the environment.
